| In connection with Providence of Brookfield Homes, Heritage Shores Golf Club is hosting the Spicer Memorial Tournament on June 17, 2010 at the Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, DE.Chad Spicer joined the Georgetown Police Department on Sept. 2, 2008. Prior to joining Georgetown, Spicer worked for the Laurel Police Department; Bridgeville Police Department and the Delaware Department of Corrections. He was an active part of the community and dedicated to the task of making the streets a better place for everyone. He particularly took interest in removing drugs and their providers from the streets.Spicer was a native of Georgetown having graduated from Sussex Central High School, and Delaware Technical and Community College in 1999. |

Tragically, Spicer was killed in the line of duty in 2009 in Georgetown, DE. At the time Chad had sole custody of his then 3-year-old daughter, Aubrey. The proceeds from this tournament will go to the trust fund established for Aubrey Spicer. She now lives with Chad’s parents and hopefully our efforts will aid in the care and education of this delightful little girl. |
